I work in cloud, long enough that the problems worth solving are rarely purely technical. I've been around since cloud went from exotic to inevitable, and I've developed strong opinions about what got lost in that transition.

Based in Milan, the AWS community is where I've ended up feeling most at home. I'm an AWS DevTools Hero since 2023.

I organize community events, speak at conferences on most continents, and travel solo more than is probably reasonable. These days I have an inexplicable attraction for Germany that conveniently justifies my Lufthansa Senator card and my Duolingo streak. I watch more TV than I should admit, and proudly listen to Taylor Swift obsessively. This is where I write when something is worth the effort.
