I am Head of Cloud Engineering, I design the platforms my enterprise customers run on, and I own the governance product behind them, its architecture and the way it goes to market. Lately the same set of questions has moved into AI systems, and that is where a good part of my research goes.

The AWS community is where I feel most at home. I have been an AWS DevTools Hero since 2023. I organize community events, speak at conferences on most continents, and travel solo more often than most people would consider reasonable.

Germany takes up a good share of my travel, which is how I ended up with a Lufthansa Senator card and a Duolingo streak I refuse to break. I watch more TV series than I am willing to put in writing, I follow MotoGP, and I listen to Taylor Swift with no embarrassment at all. I write here when a topic is worth the effort.
